“Ricordi Appesi”
Saving Memories
Every photograph holds a story, a memory that binds us to people, places and moments in our lives. ” Ricordi Appesi ” (“Hanging Memories”) was created with the precise goal of preserving these fragments of history, helping those who have lost so much due to the disastrous floods that have hit Faenza and the surrounding areas.
In May 2023, two floods hit Faenza (RA), Italy and the surrounding area, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of many people. Homes and businesses were destroyed, along with thousands of photographs that held precious and irreplaceable memories.
The Ricordi Appesi project was born with the aim of recovering, restoring and returning photographs damaged by the flood. The commitment of Maria Laura Argnani, Francesco Bondi and Marco Bondi has given life to a photographic rescue system, helping to preserve the memories affected by the tragedy.
Over 61000 photographs
have been saved during this period.
Throughout this period, all labor, supplies, and tools have been fully provided by New Foto Video by Marco Bondi, not at the expense of the families.
The only payment was €30 for album support (not mandatory and at the family’s choice)
following the events of September 2024

To ensure that these fragments of memory are not lost forever, we need your help.
We are working to
●Create a detailed paper guide that illustrates step-by-step the process of recovering and preserving water-damaged photographs. This practical guide, the result of our direct experience, will be a valuable tool to provide concrete support to other communities affected by similar disasters, helping to preserve collective memory.
●Organize educational workshops in schools to raise awareness among young people about the importance of historical memory.
●Support the future activities of Ricordi Appesi.

Every contribution received will be allocated to the growth and development of the Ricordi Appesi project, allowing us to expand the activities of restoration and digitization of damaged photographs.
